How our socks go from an idea to your feet

Here at Sockos, we are committed to sustainability and ethical practices along the whole supply chain.

Materials and Manufacturing

Our socks are manufactured in China, and our manufacturer has a Gold WRAP accreditation. We have a close relationship with them and are always working to ensure that your socks are produced in the most ethical environment, and are the highest quality possible.

The WRAP accreditation is based on 12 principles:

  • Compliance with Local Laws
  • Prohibition of Forced Labor
  • Probibition of Child Labor
  • Prohibiiton of Harassment or Abuse
  • Compensation & Benefits
  • Hours of Work
  • Prohibition of Discrimination
  • Health & Safety
  • Freedom of Association
  • Environment
  • Customs Compliance
  • Security

For the material of our socks, we chose to use bamboo. This has many benefits for your feet as well as the environment. Bamboo is much more sustainable to harvest than cotton, using less water and space to grow.

Getting the Socks to you

All envelopes are made from post consumer content and are 100% recyclable. Postcards and everything else sent to you (except for the socks of course) are completely recyclable or can be put in your compost bin to naturally decompose.

We make every effort to minimise waste wherever possible and sustainability is very important to us.
